Key questions
This protocol is valid on 29/8/2020. It will be revised according to the changes of government rules.
Key issues are:
• Control of social distancing
• PPE – wearing of masks
• Cleaning of worktops and seats
• VEEM will produce a “disclaimer form” and all participants and teachers/ leaders will sign it.
CLASSES
Responsibility of teachers:
• It is the teacher's responsibility to ensure that all of these procedures are followed.
• A summary of these notes will be provided and the teachers will read them to each class at the start of the lesson.
• Teachers can provide paper documents, but these will be distributed directly to students and will not be passed from one student to another.
• VEEM will provide each teacher with their own whiteboard marker
Germaine Remaury classroom
• When weather permits, at least one window will be open throughout the session.
Members / participating students
• If someone is sick, he / she must not come to class
• Participation will be limited to seven students with the teacher
• Hand gel will be provided. The teachers and the students will use it when entering and leaving the classroom
• Seats will be allocated to ensure a distance of one metre between the students.
• Masks to be worn at all times
• Students must arrive and leave observing the social distance of 1m. Students from all subsequent classes will be waiting outside, 1m apart.
• All students of the first class must leave before the students of the next class are admitted.
• Students will provide their own pens and paper
• The only drink allowed in the room are sealed bottles brought by the individual student. Obviously not to share.
• If the student/teacher uses the toilet, they should wash their hands with soapy water afterwards and dry with the paper towels provided.
• If a member develops symptoms of Covid within fourteen days of the course, he/she must immediately inform the Vice-President at info@veem.fr
Cleaning
• The classroom and the office will be thoroughly cleaned once a week (during the weekend) by the cleaner designated by VEEM
• At the end of each lesson, two designated students will help the teacher wipe down all tables and chairs with the disinfectant provided.
• VEEM will provide rubber gloves to the teacher and the student who will undertake
• The teacher will be responsible for cleaning the common areas of the classroom before and after each lesson. This includes:
  - Whiteboard
  - All door and window handles
  - Light switches if used
  - Cd player, television, remote control - if used
  - Copier - if used
• Each student is responsible for cleaning the toilet and sinks if they have been used by them.
ACTIVITIES - INDOORS
VEEM will obtain and follow all instructions issued by the organisation allowing the use of the room. This will include:
• Maximum number of people authorised
• Provision of food / drink - what type?
• Cleaning before and after
• Any insurance issues
Responsibility of VEEM Event managers
• It is the manager's responsibility to ensure that all of these procedures are followed.
• A summary of these notes will be provided and the manager will read them at the start of the activity.
• Managers will be given hand gel and members should use it when entering and leaving the room.
Meeting room
• When weather permits, at least one window will be open throughout the session
Members / participating members
• If someone is sick, he / she must not come to the activities
• Participation will be limited to the number of members, which ensures that they sit / stand at least one meter apart.
• The manager and members will sign a form declaring that they have not exhibited any symptoms of Covid in the 14 days prior to the course. The manager will place them in the file provided
• Hand gel will be provided by VEEM. The manager and members must use it when entering and leaving the room
• Places will be allocated to ensure a distance of one meter between the students.
• Masks to be worn at all times

Cleaning
• Prior to the event, an email will be sent to the host by the Vice President asking for confirmation that all Covid rules will be followed
• Upon arriving at the site, the manager will ensure that all Covid rules are followed by the host.
ACTIVITIES - OUTDOOR
VEEM will obtain and follow all instructions issued by the organisation allowing the use of the area. This will include:
• Maximum number of people authorized
• Provision of food / drink - what type?
• Cleaning before and after
• Any insurance problem
Responsibility of managers
• It is the manager's responsibility to ensure that all of these procedures are followed.
• A summary of these notes will be provided and the manager will read them at the start of the activity.
• Managers should be provided with a jar of hand gel and members should use it at the start and end of the activity.
Members present
• If someone is sick, he / she must not come to the activities
• In accordance with the advice of the FFR, the hikes will be limited to 10 people per hike
• Members can decide if the masks are to be worn
• Outdoor activities will be limited to 80 people or in line with regulations from the local Marie/Department.
